What to Expect at The Pointe Church
Looking for a different type of church experience? You have come to the right place at The Pointe.
Here are a few of the questions people often ask:
What is your worship style?
We are a modern church featuring contemporary music and relevant Biblical teaching. Our goal with our music is to help you connect with the heart of God and you will find that there are no subjects we feel are taboo to talk about in our messages. If people are dealing with it or have questions about it, we will address it. We have two identical worship services each Sunday morning at 9 am and 10:45 am.
What shall I wear?
Our atmosphere is very casual with no expectations on how you should dress or look. You are free to “wear your Sunday best,” depending on how you define it. It could be a suit, jeans, t-shirts, shorts, and even flip flops. We have it all. The bottom line is we want you to be comfortable to be yourself so you'll feel free to worship God however you feel led knowing that The Pointe is a place of acceptance and love.
Do you have anything for children?
Our children’s ministry is vital to our church and we think reaching the next generation for Christ is one of the most important things we can do, so we put a lot of emphasis on our children. Our KidzPointe ministry takes place simultaneously with our worship experience at 9 am, 10:45am, and 6pm services. We have a nursery for infants and classes up to the sixth grade. Be warned though, your kids will love their experience so much that they will be begging you to come back next week.
Do you have anything for junior high or senior high students?
Yes, absolutely. Our Student Pointe Ministry meets Sunday mornings at 10:45am in classroom #7 and Sunday nights at 5pm in the Student Building. They begin with worship and prayer, then breakout into Life Groups. The youth meet Wednesdays at 6:30pm . Also, our group often does other activities throughout the month outside Sunday mornings and Sunday nights.
Do you have adult Sunday school classes?
No, our adult ministry is called our Life Group ministry. We believe strongly that the Christian life is most effectively lived out in relationship with others-in community. Most of our adult ministry happens in the context of small groups we call Life Groups. These meet at other times than Sunday mornings and often in people’s homes where we can share life and faith together.
