Join a Life Group Today!

We believe when you join a Life Group
At The Pointe Church, it’s a place where you:

Connect, fellowship, and build relationships in a small group setting
Get to know who God is through His Word
Learn His Word and put it into Action in our daily lives
Be prayed for, ministered to, and encouraged
Learn to be a disciple and grow as a follower of Christ Jesus
Will love Him more than ever before
Serve God by serving family, church, and our community

My hope is that everyone will find a place and people to do life together in a Life Group, learning your true identity in Jesus and who He is, to know His extravagant love, to be a disciple and how to make disciples of Jesus. Through this, my prayer is that you will grow closer to Him in a personal relationship and with the church body. May you all feel welcome and know that you belong to the family of God.
                                                                              Blessings,
                                                                                    Regina Terry, Discipleship Pastor

LG – Women Seeking God – Led by Wendy Strickland and Robin Holder – 10AM – 12PM – Meets at The Pointe Church Office Living Room - Join anytime
Matthew 6:33 tells us to seek His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to them.  Matthew 5:6, tells us the blessings of those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
In Psalm 63, A psalm of David, when he was in the Desert of Judah, he said, You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water. And God said of David, he is a man after my own heart. My prayer and hope through this Life Group is that we would be a woman after God’s own heart, seeking Him in all that we do in our daily lives. We’ll do this through: learning what it means to minister to the Father’s heart, discussing His word, encouraging each other in love and how to be disciples of Jesus, and learning to disciple others in our daily lives. Ladies, we’re diving into the Gospel of Jesus Christ!  Currently we’re going through the Bait of Satan (the trap of offense) course with John Bevere. This is a video course and does not require a book. We usually have a brunch item or two (bring something if you like), coffee, and water. We eat and fellowship, discuss testimonies or whatever the Lord puts on our heart for the first hour, then we begin our study and have discussion for the second hour. We’re about love and relationships, so join us and bring someone with you.

Common Questions?

WHAT HAPPENS AT A LIFE GROUP MEETING?

You’ve probably seen life groups meeting and not even realized it. A life group looks like friends at lunch or people studying a book or topic of interest. At its core, a life group is a gathering of people, and it is less about what you do and more about who you do it with. By participating in life groups, you can expect to connect with others through a common study, engage in life giving conversation and prayer.

HOW OFTEN DOES A LIFE GROUP MEET?

Our life groups meet for three semesters a year—winter/spring, summer, and fall. During the semester, most groups meet once a week. Life groups are meant to bring meaning and community into the flow of your life so even if you can’t attend every, single meeting, there is still great value in joining a group. During the in between semesters, we have a few continuous (ongoing) groups.  These will be posted at the Information Counter and on the Website

WHERE DO LIFE GROUPS MEET?

Life groups meet in places like homes, restaurants, coffee shops and at the church.

HOW LONG DOES A TYPICAL LIFE GROUP STAY TOGETHER?

Most life groups meet for a semester. This way, new people can join groups easily and regularly. Also, the semester format allows you to try multiple groups each year. As relationships form, some groups choose to stay together for consecutive semesters, but new members are always welcome.

IS THERE CHILDCARE AVAILABLE?

Childcare is available for our Wednesday and Sunday morning during services and night Life Groups that meet at the church. Each day will indicate whether we have childcare available or not.

WHAT IF I DON’T LIKE THE FIRST GROUP I TRY?

The truth is, not everyone will find the best fit with the first group they try. This is why we encourage you to select a few groups that interest you, contact the leaders and try out a couple different groups before choosing the best one for you. The simple strategy to finding success in life groups is to not give up. We believe there is a group that is right for everyone—including you!
